Skyport Tycoon

Skyport Tycoon lets you build an airport on floating islands and then fuss over every detail of it. You place terminals, route passengers, and slowly expand while keeping queues short. It scratches that satisfying optimization itch without demanding constant attention.

Everything is handled through drag-and-drop, and the game is smart about snapping pieces into place so you rarely fight the touch controls. There's a tidy pause-and-plan mode that I used a lot, which makes it comfortable in short bursts.

Battery drain is modest, though it climbs once your airport gets huge and busy with little animated passengers. Turning the crowd density down in settings kept things smooth on my older test phone.
